When an internet lead comes in, chances are that your new prospect has already emailed competing dealerships. How can you differentiate yourself from the pack? You are probably competing with everyone in town on price. So adding a personal touch to your internet leads can make the difference in getting a customer in the door. If you're using email to follow-up, consider adding a video to it. Making a personal video is one of the simplest ways to show your customers that you're willing to go the extra mile for them. Here are some pointers:
1) Take a 15-30 second video message using your phone, tablet, or computer. This is your introduction to a potential customer, so be personable and natural - and always show an interest in what they have to say. At the very least, you should thank the customer for their interest and give them a reason to come into the dealership. 2) Post the video to YouTube or another video sharing website. It only takes a couple of minutes to make a big impact! Learn how to post videos to YouTube here 3) Link to the video in your follow-up email. Send a short, concise introduction email to the prospect. Include the YouTube link so your prospect can view the personal video. Embed a picture of a video within your email (like we have below) to increase the chance of your prospect playing the video.
